Toyota Australia has confirmed that it will import the vehicle from Japan from late 2022. Īs of December 2021, the Corolla Cross is produced in Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Brazil, United States, South Africa, Malaysia, and China. It offers a claimed boot space of 487 L (17.2 cu ft) if equipped with a puncture repair kit, and 440 L (16 cu ft) with a temporary spare tyre. The interior is shared with the regular Corolla, with minor redesigns. For the front-wheel drive models, it is equipped with a MacPherson strut front suspension and a torsion beam rear suspension instead of an independent rear suspension used on the regular Corolla and the C-HR to save interior space and cut costs, while all-wheel drive models still come with rear independent units. The vehicle shares the same 2,640 mm (103.9 in) wheelbase as the C-HR, but occupies a larger footprint prioritising on interior space and practicality.
